Position Overview

We're seeking a talented software engineer with a strong foundation in robotics software development. We are open to part-time work in a paid capacity, with a clear path to full-time employment upon graduation.

Required Skills

• Strong Python programming experience
• Practical knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System)
• Understanding of message-passing architectures (REST APIs and MQTT)
• Solid software engineering fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in Robotics or Computer Science
• Familiarity with Github, AWS, Typescript, Next.js, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres
• Knowledge of industrial automation or manufacturing environments, mobile robots (AMR, AGV, etc.), IoT devices, Kepserver, Communication Protocols (OPC UA, Modbus)

Location

• Part time, remote possible, full-time position is based in Detroit, MI
• Occasional travel will be required to go on-site to manufacturing or logistics customers
